Ashley Valdes is the mother to autistic twin boys who were diagnosed "Autism Spectrum Disorder with developmental delays" at 2 years old. After a few years of being their personal advocate, she noticed on a larger scale that few representations of autistic people existed in children's books, and this paved the way for her passion. Based on her family's personal experiences and constant research, Ashley Valdes writes simple, relatable, and education short stories for families of the autistic community to enjoy, as well as for others to become aware and knowledgable in recognizing, understanding, and accepting the differences which make these individuals uniquely wonderful.
